Vizzini, your friendly neighbourhood rogue

Hi!

I'm Vizzini. *sips martini*

I'm a level 42 rogue who's fond of skinning and Cheap Shots. Whisper me or email me if you need leather armour or armour kits, or if you have some spare small lustrous pearls.

These days I'm getting my ass handed to me in Uldaman, and hating the Badlands in general. It does have some fine, fine skinning, however.

I need to get my lockpicking skill up, so I'll be attempting to sneak into Angor Fortress soon. Who's got my back?

Time for an update!

Vizzini is now 59 and about 2/3 to 60! Leatherworking is now 300, skinning 300. He still needs to work on cooking, fishing and first aid. He's happy to make anything for fellow guildies. Armour kits? Green Leather Armour for Blacksmithing? Anything? How about locks?

He's got designs on the Heartseeker dagger (bought the pattern for Velcrow and is now gathering mats - BIG HUGE THANKS due to Vecna, enchanter extraordinaire). Just need most of the gems (got the 6xStar Ruby and one Large Opal,) the arcanite bars (ouch) and dense grinding stones.

As for armour, Visholiste sent Vizzini the Shadowcraft belt, he bought the bracers, and now he needs to complete the set:

Shadowcraft Set Compilation - Set Bonuses
Shadowcraft Belt (53) - Leather: Waist (1.41%) from random Blackrock Spire mobs (HAVE)
Shadowcraft Boots (54) - Leather: Feet (13.87%) from Rattlegore (60) - Scholomance
Shadowcraft Bracers (52) - Leather: Wrist (2.08%) from random Scholomance mobs (HAVE)
Shadowcraft Tunic (58) - Leather: Chest (5.95%) from General Drakkisath (B) - Upper Blackrock Spire
Shadowcraft Gloves (54) - Leather: Hands (11.47%) from Shadow Hunter Vosh'gajin (B) - Lower Blackrock Spire
Shadowcraft Cap (57) - Leather: Head (6.68%) from Darkmaster Gandling (61) - Scholomance
Shadowcraft Pants (56) - Leather: Legs (7.81%) from Baron Rivendare (62) - Stratholme Undead
Shadowcraft Spaulders (55) - Leather: Shoulders (10.77%) from Cannon Master Willey (60) - Stratholme Human

That should keep me busy for a while...and then Vizzini can upgrade that set to the Darkmantle Set.

What's new for you?

Any headway on that Darkmantle set? My Alliance rogue still has only the Stormshroud, but I hardly ever play him since all my friends are Vees.

Come to think of it, so is he (Vladimir). Too bad I can't transform him into a Forsaken or Blood Elf and transfer him over.

Oh, no, I haven't made an inch of headway. Still haven't got everything for my Heartseeker, either.

Vizzini, grandpa rogue, here again. Here's his Warcrafter profile so you can see what he's wearing _and_ all his stats. Yes, he is very purple these days. Vizzini's hit rating is now 283 after spending many badges on a new belt. Just need to properly gem up the shoulders and belt before he's as leet as he can be without venturing into T5/6 gear!

Viz is inching his way towards further attunement for the big raids (not that it will be necessary after the next patch) and finishing up all those spare quests in Blade's Edge Mountains and Shadowmoon Valley. Still not revered with the Scryers and still dreading the grind (75 more Sunfury Signets.)

Vitorio and I had a blast doing the Netherstorm quests, and I wish we'd done them when we were level appropriate. Many of the quest rewards would have been soooooo perfect pre-Karazhan.

Favourite zone: Nagrand, all the way. It's beautiful, the music is gorgeous, there's that awesome Thrall quest, and the fishing/hunting/skinning is fantastic.

Aw, my namesake is interviewed at the A.V. Club, in the Random Roles feature. Here's what he says about Vizzini:

The Princess Bride (1987)—“Vizzini”

WS: You know, there’s not too much to say about it. I suppose my agent did something unusual in telling me who they really wanted. And telling me that I was the third choice. I was very, very aware that I was not the first or second choice. I mean, ordinarily, agents don’t do that, and I must admit in my case, it did make it hard for me. Because I didn’t get the sense of humor, really, didn’t understand it very well. It’s not my type of humor, so the director had to kind of coach me through everything I did.

It’s by far what I’m best known for on planet Earth. No day goes by without someone commenting on it to me. It turned out to be one of the most beloved films. People had the most astonishing response to it. Apparently by following Rob Reiner, by trying to imitate him—he would do [my lines], and then I would imitate him. And I must have done it adequately, as people compliment me on it on a daily basis.

AVC: What was it like acting opposite Andre The Giant?

WS: Well, that, I did very much enjoy. He was marvelous. But there was something painful about his situation, because he already had lost some of his strength. Of course it was well-known that he could not live terribly long, because no one with his condition did. So it was all a bit poignant. But he was always very, very intelligent, and he was very kind to me, because I was quite afraid of certain things we had to do, and he was very, very nice to me. He was a fascinating person, because he had come from a small village in France and wanted to travel. And he quite consciously decided that in order to travel, his best option was to try to become a wrestler and that’s what he did.
