I keep getting requests for information on Group Calendar and how to setup the add-on once its installed. So here it is if you have any problems you can message me in game or send email to Vicerunner@gmail.com
The Group Calendar add-on allows the Vees to plan instance and raid runs in advance and for people to sign up before the event starts. There are however a few things that need to be done on your copy of the game before this can happen.
As this post is getting rather long I will post a How to use group calendar in another post so not to bore too many people to death.
First you must download the addon from a trusted site. Here is a link to the site I use. Remember you must update this add-on after each patch, it can take a a week or two for the add-on to get updated after a patch.
Curse Gaming – Group Calendar -
Once you have downloaded the file you need to extract the file from the archive. With windows you can do this with a right click on the file and select “extract all” from the menu. This will unpack the archive so that you can install it.
To install the add-on you need to copy the directory and all its contents to the addon folder in your WoW installation. To do this find your World of Warcraft addons folder.
For Windows this folder is normaly under C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns
Once you have copied the file there you then need to start World of Warcraft. To access the calendar you need to click on the Clock icon on your mini map. (See the screen shoot below)

To be able to access the Ceevees event you will need to be able to check a few settings to make sure they are correct. This is not difficult and will only take a few seconds.
Click the setup tab on the bottom of the group calendar window. You will be present with the setup tab. Ensure that your settings match the picture below and you will be able to access and post new events in the calendar.
These setting are
Configuration: Automatic
The Box Use Guild data channel must be checked.

Just a few notes on the setup tab and its importance.
On this tab you can see the green text. This text will be green or red telling you the status of the data channel that is in use. When the add-on starts it will try and find the guild data channel and connect to it. This connection can take around 5 minutes to complete and you may not get all the events in system for this time. If at any time you think that you are not getting or sending data you should check this tab to see what the status of the channel is.
If the button labeled Disconnect says Connect this means that you, for some reason, have been disconnected from the data channel and you should click this button to reconnect to the system to send and receive events in the calendar.

I think it’s also important to note that the information is shared over the guild channel, but saved on each player’s computer. That means that if no one else is on when you set up group calendar, you man not see any events even if it’s properly configured. It also means that if you add an event, but no one else with group calendar running is on when you are, then no one else will see the event either. You should check and make sure that at least one other person can see your event before logging off.
