A messy death, for a messy fight.

Gurtogg Bloodboil died on our fifth try!

Boss kills:

Loot:

• Girdle of Stability – won by Visholiste
• Garments of Temperance – won by Dominater

Also looted during the fight were a bunch of gems (Crimson Spinel, Lionseye, Seaspray Emerald and Shadowsong Amethyst). We ended up with 13 gems and a pile of Hearts of Darkness which I distributed randomly to everyone who joined us yesterday and today. Nine people won rolls for loot, which left 18 more to share the gems, etc. I wish we all could have got something awesome.

We abandoned Reliquary of Souls after the third try because of the late hour. We still have some practicing to do, but it seems possible. Go team! I hope we can go back, even with the distraction of the new expansion.

Awesome job, raiders! 22 Vees + 3 Counting Sheeples downed Naj’entus, Supremus, Shade of Akama and Teron Gorefiend. Not bad for having only a few (very integral) raid members ever see the dungeon.

Hello raiders! Voivod wants to step into BT before we’re all engrossed in the new expansion (death knights ho!) so we’ve set up a Black Temple raid for Saturday evening, 8 pm server time. The in-game calendar only invites 100 members max and we have many more than that, so if you don’t see the event (remember, you can accept an invitation via wowarmory.com – login and click the Calendar tab on your character profile) whisper Voivod, Veebat, Vitorio or Vizzini and we’ll make sure you’re added to the invite list. We schemed this up over dim sum today. Alert your friends list, too!

Hi everyone we are trying for a mostly Vees Gruuls Lair run on Friday night in place of the normal Kara run.  Please sign up with the in game Calendar. Veebat is the event creator and will attempt to be on every night this week to take care of sign ups questions etc. If you signed up for Kara in the web Calendar I have moved your name over to the in game calendar.

Hi, Folks!  We’re trying to gather all the Vees from far and wide for a Guild meeting Saturday evening at 7:30 server time.  Hope to see you there!

Not only did Tearsome (L70 Resto Shaman) tank a Fel Reaver, he has also successfully soloed Kael’thas in Magisters’ Terrace from 21% using only his Searing Totem and tiny pew pew. The same night, he tanked Shadow Labs (joined by Vudun, L66 Resto Shaman, Vandelle, L70 Arms Warrior, Vitorio, L70 Holy Priest and Vitch, L70 Hunter) all the way to Murmur, with no party wipes.

Shamans = OVERPOWERED.

I hear he’s since respecced Enhancement.

WoWInterface 2.4 Survival Guide

Its seems that I have some problems to work out within our raiding system for the Vees. I apologize to those that have been skipped over or left out of the runs. With the recent additions of new members and new level 70s we have gone from not being able to fill a ten man Karazan run to having more people than slots for the weekend runs.

I want to take stock of who and what classes the Vees currently have at 70 or are making their way up. Please leave a comment on this post with the role you wish to fill, either tanking, dps or healing so I can take stock of what we have for class balance. My hope is to start putting together a second Kara run with in the next couple weeks.

While I would like to see everyone get a raid spot based on sign up order, this is proving to be very difficult and stressful for those trying to organize these events. I want to make sure that all of our players are getting as much out of the guild as possible. It is proving not possible for me to keep everyone happy all the time. I am asking that everyone have patience while I try to get things organized.

A certain gear level and class balance across the raid will ensure that we can progress though the content with as few wipes as possible. To do this our raid leaders will need to build the raids to make sure that we can succeed in each try with as few problems as possible. This will mean that you may not get selected to raid every week if we are heavy on a certain class. This is the reason I want to try to get a second run into Kara, to give as many people as possible a chance to go.

Above all else I need some feed back. I am completely new to this and am feeling a little daunted by the task in front of me right now.
